creativity + nature

Central to my art practice (including community offerings and art creation) is my belief that our connection to creativity is an essential part of our experience of being human upon this earth—and that it goes hand-in-hand with our connection to, and being of, nature.

Because of this, my creative process and offerings are intimately linked to the energies of nature elements. This includes my practice of working with flower and mushroom essences in my painting (the process of which I share in my “Painting with Plants” workshops), nature-immersed community offerings including creative retreats and nature walks, and continued study and exploration of re-learning about our being and relationship with the natural world.

art magic infused with the energies
of nature

As I re-learn about my own connection to, and being of, the natural world, I continue to explore ways to work with these energies in my art making.

This primarily happens through my practice of working with flower and mushroom essences, infusing them into my intuitive painting practice. I also create upcycled clothing and jewelry talismans with natural ritually dyed and recycled materials. You can check out my work through my online shop or on instagram @stainedghost.

community offerings

In addition to my art creation process, my practice includes crafting and facilitating community offerings that explore creativity within the experience of nature immersion and/or working with elements of nature.

These include workshops, such as my Painting with Plants intuitive painting workshop and natural dying workshops; creative retreats and other nature-immersed experiences.

I also explore our connection to nature in my Double Gemini newsletter, where I also share about upcoming offerings. Sign up here to take in the magic.

nature re-connection studies

As an artist and human, I continue to seek out experiences and knowledge to deepen my understanding, re-connection, and work with the natural world. Below are a few of my experiences in this journey.

My commitment to this process isn’t merely for my own enjoyment (though it certainly brings plenty of it!); it is rooted in my deep belief that this is the work we need to do in order to bring healing, justice and balance back into the world, for the good of all living beings and the earth herself.
